How the calculation works

Billable base = (delivery + admin + revision buffer) × hourly rate
With contingency = base × (1 + contingency %)
Floor = with-contingency ÷ (1 − payment fee %). Dividing accounts for the fee on the final charge.

Check your assumptions

Choose a rate that covers your operating costs and intended pay.
Estimate revision hours for the work and review rounds you intend to include.
Choose contingency for the uncertainties you identified. The example's 15% is illustrative.
Direct project expenses are not included. Account for them in your full project estimate.
The formula includes a percentage fee only. Add fixed transaction fees or other charges separately.
Excludes taxes, currency conversion, and late-payment terms.
