Inside the download

See the actual offline workbook

These screens were captured from the current download with fictional project details. Open the extracted HTML workbook in a desktop browser and fill in its worksheets. The full kit includes four more documents and a fictional worked case.

  1. Edit a worksheet. Add your project details and replace the remaining prompts with facts you have checked.
  2. Export your work. Download readable Markdown, then save a JSON backup if you want to continue editing later. Check that each file reached your device.
  3. Restore when you return. Choose that kit's JSON backup to resume the same editing session. Nothing is autosaved or sent to a cloud account.

The optional Notion pack contains Markdown and CSV import files, not a ready-made workspace. You set up properties and relations in Notion yourself; these screens show the offline workbook and calculator only.

The task

What you'll make

A kickoff plan with owners for required files, approvals, and first milestones.

Gather before you start

  • Agreed scope
  • Client contacts
  • Project dates

Mark missing information so you can check it before using your work.

When to skip this kit

  • You need a native Excel, Canva, or Word template. This download contains Markdown documents and an offline HTML workbook, plus Notion import files you configure yourself.
  • You need autosave or cloud sync. Export Markdown or save a backup before closing the offline workbook.
  • You need someone to complete the work. These are worksheets to fill in yourself.

Read the first worksheet below to see whether its questions help with your task.

Included files

What's inside

  1. 01Welcome email
  2. 02Discovery questionnaire
  3. 03Kickoff agenda
  4. 04Asset request checklist
  5. 05First-week status update

Each document has instructions, questions, and space for your answers. The final document includes a common mistake to check for before using your work.

The worked case contains five completed documents, one for each worksheet. Follow the evidence, decisions, and corrections across the same fictional project. The case is included in the workbook, reading edition, Markdown example, and optional Notion import.

Your completion check

The first milestone has usable inputs, an approval owner, and dated decisions; missing assets have an explicit effect on the plan, and access records contain no credentials.

Before you finish

Check this before you use it

A warm welcome leaves essential assets and approvals unassigned.

Give every missing input one owner and a due date before kickoff.

Use the final worksheet to record what needs fixing and what you still need to check.

Subject: {{project}} — what we need before kickoff

Hi {{contact}},

Thank you for choosing {{business}}. Our agreed next milestone is [specific output]. The current target is {{deadline}}, subject to the input and approval dates in our project plan.

Please reply by [date] with:

  1. The person authorized to approve the work and a backup contact.
  2. Your answers to the discovery questionnaire, marking anything still unknown.
  3. Links to the agreed copy, brand files, and images, with their approval and usage status.
  4. Two suitable kickoff times and any constraint that may affect the next milestone.

Use [approved sharing location] for files. For system access, send an invitation with the minimum required permissions; do not email passwords, secret keys, or private customer records. We will agree a secure route if restricted information is actually necessary.

At kickoff we will confirm the scope, owners, dates, and unresolved decisions. If something cannot be ready, tell us which item and when it can arrive so we can review the effect before promising a schedule.

Next action: [one named action, owner, and date]. {{business}}

Before sending: replace every placeholder, confirm the recipient and actual agreement, remove irrelevant requests, and make the first action clear. Do not ask for assets the agreed scope does not need.

Worked example

See the worked-case summary

Fictional example included in edition 2.49.1.

Fictional case: North Studio onboards Fern Coaching for a five-page website. Lena approves content; Omar handles access. Copy is due 9 October for a conditional 30 October target. Five completed documents show the welcome email, discovery answers, kickoff decisions, asset gaps, and first-week update. When image rights are missing, the team pauses publication of those assets and names an owner and review date rather than treating the upload as approval.

Before you choose

What should I have ready for this kit?

Bring agreed scope, client contacts, project dates. Mark anything you still need to check.

How do I know the work is finished?

A kickoff plan with owners for required files, approvals, and first milestones. Check your answers against the original records and note anything unresolved before sharing your work.

What is in the Notion import pack?

The download includes an optional NOTION-IMPORT.zip with authored Markdown page templates and sample-filled CSV databases. Import the files in Notion, then set field types and any database relations yourself. Alongside those files, you receive editable Markdown documents and an offline HTML workbook. Set up the imported pages and tables yourself. These are not native Excel, Canva, or Word templates. Extract the whole ZIP before opening the HTML files. Mobile file managers may not run local scripts; the text files and reading edition remain available.

Will this do the work for me?

The kit supplies structure, questions, and examples. You provide the facts, make the decisions, and adapt the finished output. You are responsible for checking the finished work. Custom implementation and professional review are not included.

Included Notion import files · fictional preview data

Client Delivery Hub

7 Notion page templates, 1 completed worked-case page and 3 sample-filled CSV databases. Extract the product download, then import NOTION-IMPORT.zip in Notion desktop or web.

What Notion setup requires

These are the field changes described in the included setup guide. Notion may initially import them as text.

  • Select: Stage, Status.
  • Date: Kickoff date, Target handoff, Next decision date, Due date, Date raised.

Keep the Project text field in Tasks, or create a relation to Projects and reconnect the sample task yourself. Change owner fields to Person only for people already in your workspace; review permissions before inviting clients.

A new CSV import does not build relations, formulas, or rollups. Add any you need manually. Replace or delete the fictional sample rows before sharing.

Example rows are fictional. The import creates pages and databases; set property types and any relations inside Notion. You configure the tables after import.
